The Mind Is On His Deathbed : A Meditation
The mind is on his deathbed, his virtuous youth obstructed by the now of humanity. Sloth be thy maker; reversible at best, but what have we done to
stop 't? The thinkers are dying, taking with them a wealth of knowledge, all in vain. Those not willing to obtain this treasure are of an abundance.
However, buried, yet not secluded, will this jewel become, on a palpable island. Hidden on the leaves, not in the earth. It is necessary to reach to
attain, but worth every ounce of effort.
But why must we even hide away our naturally begotten intelligence? Why throw away what our fathers worked for centuries to achieve? The forefathers
of thought would be generally displeased with the way the world today is abusing their inherited acuity. We must band together and abolish
benightedness altogether, for language is losing his color as well. Enough with the shorthand and quick way around. Enough with the inability to be
motivated to achieve something greater. Enough with the negligence and disregard; the shortcuts and cheating; the commonality of conscious ingenuity
and creativity.
Enough is enough, for the mind is on his deathbed.

i appreciate the reassurance.
faith is a funny thing...
and, as much as you might love/encourage psychedelics, i have made a commitment to stay straight for my entire life, because i don't want to have to
rely on substances to make my mind grow. i kinda want to just let it flourish on its own, as hard as it may be comparatively.
also, i won't be going to any sort of a university, that's pretty solid in my mind as of late, but thanks for the tips. may come in handy some day.

Its some real-life Idiocracy shit going down. However, there is a man by the name of Dr. David R. Hawkins that has done some pretty damn enlightening
work and believes that the collective consciousness of the world is actually increasing. I like to think shit isn't so bad...then I watch television
commercials.

I agree, I see little flashes of hope everywhere.
It's situational, I suppose.
I spend most of my time at a university, I imagine if I were spending most of time in other places it could be different.

Yes the mind has taking a beating as of late but I have the feeling it is on it's way back to make a stunning and beautiful come back. It is always
out of tough times that amazing things are born and I think we are comming out of one of those tough times. Call me an optimist but change is in the
air and that is giving me hope.
P.S. I wasn't specifically talking about Barak Obama but damn that last sentence could have come right out of one of his speeches!

The knowledge that our fathers handed down to us is nothing more then a cycle of lies. I say reject what they say they know. It's past the time to
simply recycling the fictitious story that we've been indoctrinated into believing, a cycle that has persisted since we became "civilized". No, we
must create our own truths much different from those of previous generations if there is any chance for this planet to find it's equilibrium. If we
don't we will fall.

I think it's incredibly difficult to ever really "know" anything. It seems like man has been incessantly searching for answers for as long as man has
been around, and even when he finds them it seems like it's not too long before the answer changes.
As far as the present is concerned, we're really wasting our potential. There really has to be more to life than working a 9 to 5 to get by. I think
that we really should step up to the plate and take back our lives.
